B & H Organic Produce New Blog Format

My husband suggested using the blog for the 2010 season as a record of our meals.
We mostly eat from the farm. I would say 80 percent. And we love to can, dry and freeze our vegetables for winter enjoyment. If we do not grow or raise it than we try our best to buy it local. My husband Mike and I love to cook.
And the inspiration for what we cook mainly comes from hours of weeding and caring for the plants in the garden. There are many hours while gardening when your mind needs to wander somewhere. It mostly wanders to my belly.
We will be posting a picture of our dinner and a description. I mostly make up what I cook and rarely follow recipes. If I know of a recipe I will link it otherwise these are simply inspirations!!!!!!
Yum!!!!!!!!!!!
The dinner above:
  • Grilled burgers ( Fat free, free-range, beef from our farm)
  • topped with Raw Cheddar Cheese from Hope Springs Farm (cutest cows ever!)
  • served over our own raw spinach
  • with our own grilled asparagus
  • and our own corn on the cob from the freezer. (this was not super crunchy but oh so sweet)
This meal needed only butter salt and pepper. Wonderful! It also only took 20 minutes start to finish to prepare. Fresh is better because it is faster too! And believe me when Mike and I get home from work we want to eat and relax. We leave the dishes for another day.
