Hello friends of B & H Organic Produce.

The 2012 growing season seems to have started out of the gate running. We went from mild winter to late spring in a week's time. Although I am not complaining about the absolutely beautiful weather I am a bit frantic trying to play catch up. This is just another example of how we are bound by the whims of weather. It is truly an awesome experience to live life based on what Mother Nature gives us.
Our CSA is full. I hate to turn anyone away but we cannot take on any more members for this season. I thank you all for such a strong support. The response was phenomenal this year.
We are already picking salad mix and spinach. The greenhouse is exploding with fresh greens and baby plants ready to plant in the fields. Greens are available for purchase at Hartz Natural Foods and available for eating at Papillon Brasserie.
Beginning in April our new intern, David, will begin working with us. We welcome him with open arms and wish the best for him in the journey of learning to farm.
We have several events lined up for the 2012 season. Be sure to check the "Events" page of our website for more information http://www.bhorganicproduce.com/events.html .
You may notice we have decided not to do the "Meet the Farmer" event this year. I decided to take a year off and concentrate on the field work and training new employees.
We look forward to providing wonderful veggies for you this year.
Thank you all for your support and Happy Spring,
Erica Lavdanski
